Heddal Stitched

The story of Heddal Stitched is one of age-old textile traditions woven together with modern expression and technology. The design explores the tactile attributes that make hand-woven fabrics attractive and integrates them into a textile that meets the demands of the upholstery industry. We have challenged the idea of industrial weaving to produce a hand-crafted look that has the voluminous elasticity of a knit and the stitched look of a tailored garment.

Inspiration

Heddal Stitched challenges the limits of industrial production and has a handmade expression with volume and elasticity as in a knitted garment, and refinement and quality as the stitches in real tailoring. Heddal Stitched is a modern textile that refers to our oldest textile traditions. The design explores the qualities that make handwoven textiles so appealing, and connects them with the strict demands placed on today's upholstery fabrics. The color palette is sporty and fresh with a technical expression, which means that signature objects in the interior come into their own.
