Inspiration
Amdal is a light felted wool textile with a soft surface. The textile was developed with the desire for a lighter, airier, softer, exclusive and at the same time robust furniture textile. In addition, it should be "coffee safe" so that stains are not immediately visible. Amdal was designed by Per Bjørnsen in the early 2000s and received a new color palette in 2018. This comfortable and durable fabric is certainly one of our best sellers.
Tekniske egenskaper
Amdal is woven with a single yarn Panama weave (carded yarn). It has a thinner warp and a thicker weft yarn. Melanged warp yarn in combination with a slightly slubby weft yarn gives a great variety in the surface. Amdal has 100,000 in Martindale, is IMO certified and meets the fire requirement Crib 5 without the use of chemicals. Amdal is also certified according to the requirements of the EU Ecolabel (EU Blomsten), which guarantees:
• Limited use of environmentally harmful substances
• Limited substances harmful to health
• Reduced water and air pollution
