GU's popular upholstery fabric Gandal has been launched in a new and updated color series of 44 colors, carefully selected for the contract market. The bestselling fabric is tailored for use in public environments such as offices, theatres and auditoriums. The fabric has a modern look with a special shine and depth, highlighted by beautiful and three-dimensional color combinations. The high content of wool creates outstanding comfort and the furniture upon which the fabric is upholstered will retain a new and exclusive look year after year.
Gandal has been one of GU's most popular textiles ever since it was first designed by Per Bjørnsen and launched in 2006. The new color series is made by GU's talented and award-winning Inhouse Designer Ragnhild Nordhagen in collaboration with color and material expert Christiane Müller from the Amsterdam-based industrial and interior design studio Müller van Toll. Christiane specializes in design and concept development for the international contract market.
